Community-Wide Institute for Health, Education and Networking

Facing a New Year of change in America in 2009, Washington DC Kappa Silhouettes will collaborate with Maine Avenue Ministries in support of the Community-Wide Institute for Health, Education and Networking on Friday, April 24, 2009. "Love: Let's Overcome Violence Everywhere", is the theme for the 8th annual event held at the Shiloh Baptist Church Family Life Center. Willie Evans, Kappa Alpha Psi Polemarch, will receive an honorary award for the Washington Alumni Chapter's annual recognition of Kappa Widows.

2009 Annual Silhouette Luncheon Card Party and Raffle

In keeping with fundraising tradition, the annual Silhouette Luncheon /Card Party and Raffle event will be hosted on Saturday, May 23, 2009, from 12 noon to 4 pm. Each year, the proceeds from this festivity allow the DC Silhouettes to contribute to the Washington Alumni Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund. Additionally, the Card Party and Raffle will also be a major fundraising event for Silhouette activities during the 2009 Kappa Conclave.
